Tracy Porter Clinic: 2 day Confidence Building for the horse and rider

The clinic will cover:

Advanced ground work basics, obstacles on the ground and riding, advanced sacking out. The cost for Tracy’s 2 day clinic is $300. (Please see below for the description of an optional third day added on to this clinic that Tracy is offering which would be May 22,23,24 at a cost of $350 for the entire 3 days).

DAY ONE: Ground work
Morning:
Yielding hips and shoulders while standing and moving both in a circle as well as in a path. Asking horse to yield it’s body in any direction. Basic use of targets.
Afternoon:
Sacking out your horse to objects: including touching, moving, airborne, under, over, around.
Shift to review of ground work. Preparing for obstacles.

DAY 2: Ground work/riding
Morning:
Short review of ground work, sacking adding obstacles. Lead over, sending receiving around, over, thru and under obstacles.
Afternoon:
Riding. Basic control of hips. Riding thru obstacle courses

Tracy will also make available the option of extending this clinic into a third day – which would be Monday, May 24th – for those who might be interested. The additional cost would only be $50.00 (a total of $350 for the entire 3-day clinic). It is a very good deal for those who have the time and inclination. The description below pertains to the optional day 3 of the clinic:

DAY 3: Rein Management
Morning:
Understanding balking, evading direction request. How to control a spook: turning and facing object (distraction).
Afternoon: Controlled Chaos
(if weather permits, water obstacle can be substituted or added if time permits)

For those interested Tracy will need a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the clinic (i.e. $150 for the 2 day clinic or $175 for the 3 day clinic) to reserve space in the class. Deposits are nonrefundable and final payment will be due by May 10th. Checks should be made out to Tracy Porter.
